2 days in

Tonight feels like the night before going back to school as I potter around the flat making sure that everything’s ship shape and that I have some clean clothes for tomorrow. And like school holidays, I can say that I really enjoyed myself over the break. I think it’s been my best Christmas holiday ever. I’ve also got a week off in a couple of weeks and I have 2 more weeks to take before the end of March. I’m seriously considering jumping on a plane to somewhere sunny with a couple of paperbacks and my watercolours. I’ve never taken this step to combat SAD but I’ve also never been aware of how much I love the sun and clear blue skies. Very tempting.

I started reintegrating myself back into society yesterday with a duck banquet at catster’s (all’s in order there shark) that left me a bloated and yawning wreck as I had not eaten such rich and gorgeous rich since Christmas Day. Yum. I picked up a couple of culinary tips too. I also discovered that I’d previously met one of her flatmates at this year’s Glastonbury. Neither of us had recalled this at first due to being in festival condition at the time. Small world eh.

Catster gave me an absolutely brilliant present for Christmas, a plot of land just above and to the left Copernicus on the Moon. I have deeds and everything. I shall be watching Richard’s Branson’s maiden voyage with even more interest now as I can charge rent if he lands where x marks the spot. It’s only 2 days since a new moon so I am even more excited about it waxing than normal as I believe that I’ll be able to see my plot’s district with the naked eye.

Further reintegration occurred today with a trip to my parents. Sowing begins in 2 weeks and we are starting with cabbages. How exciting.
